The Direct Action Support Team (DAST) is a group of trained volunteers who support actions or protests as accomplices (ex: marshalls, witnesses, legal watch, perimeter guards, etc.) lead by leaders of color. As DAST volunteers, we commit to be:
- Accountable to leadership of color.
- Responsive to calls within 24 hours- even if to say ‘no’.
- Open to feedback.
- Willing to make ourselves available with minimal notice.
- Support a minimum of four events per year.
We do not support permit events with police presence as we believe the presence of law enforcement does not keep marginalized folks safe.
The Education team leads efforts to help white people interrupt and interrogate racism through learning and community.
